When time drags on because something's got to happen.
When we wait for something to happen, time seems slower than usual.
To wait is often experienced as a waste of time.
Time drags on in a different and more unpleasant way than when time is just sufficient.
Waiting time must be passed, sometimes it must even be killed.
Funny enough, this is the case whatever the thing you are waiting for is pleasant or not.
No matter if you are looking forward to a lotto prize or a death penalty - waiting time is still hard to bear.
The reason is probably that you are unable to act while you are waiting.
But maybe we could turn things upside down and consider waiting time a benefit in itself.
As a welcome breathing space to make extraordinary things happen.
While sitting here writing about waiting time I spent my life in the most unnecessary way.
To afford such luxury, I can't be committed to an assembly line. I must have plenty of time.
Waiting time? Could be. Or may be I simply take the time, I need.
Not so bad after all.
